On Saturday 28th April I captured the #wedding of Robert and Sophie at St. Pauls church Thornbury and a Marquee on Roberts farm. I was excited for the day as it would be my first marquee wedding in 4 years. The weather was looking better then predicted and i hoped it stayed dry. My day started with Sophie at the Grange hotel to see bridal preparations, she was about to have her make-up applied, brides maids were getting their hair styled. I managed to capture dress and details shots and a bucks fizz being opened, with a big cheers shot. I then made my way to Robert who was ready with with his best man and usher. They had a couple of pictures with his tractor before making his way to the church. I went to the church and captured the outside and inside before Robert arrived on his tractor. Guests started to arrive and gather outside the church, Robert's groomsmen then asked everybody to make they're way into the church. Just after the brides maids arrived, Sophie and her dad arrived in a classic car by Kens Kars - Vintage wedding cars Bristol. The wedding ceremony was lovely and although I captured the wedding from the back I had a camera at the front capturing the ceremony.
After the wedding some farmers had a surprise by formed a guard of honor for Sophie and Robert to walk between. There was a confetti shot, group pictures and a few personal pictures with Daniel Sprackman Photography before Robert and Sophie departed the church in the tractor. I quickly departed to get to the farm and capture the details inside the marquee before the arrival of all the guests. The Bar Bros. had welcome drinks ready for guests and Robert & Sophie's arrived to a big cheer. Just before the wedding breakfast I captured a few more personal shots in the field with Rob's tractor. After the wedding breakfast there was the speeches and Sophie's dad was very entertaining, Robert, his mum and best men also delivered good speeches.
My evening started getting guest messages before the evening guests arrived. with 20 minutes of 7.30 and the marquee was almost packed. Everybody was having a good time, there was a photo booth and a hog roast being served up. My evening ended with the cutting of the cake and the first dance. Congratulations Robert & Sophie x
